ABOUT US
Brunngård was founded in 1983 by the Brunngård family outside Borås, known for fashion and textiles. The company is characterized by a genuine entrepreneurial spirit and strong commitment, always with the customer in focus.
Early on, Brunngård became a full-range supplier of shoe care products, shoe accessories, socks, and slippers. In the ‘90s, we launched our first own brand, Springyard, a translation of Brunngård to English.
With more than four decades of experience, we have deepened our knowledge of shoes and their care. Today, we focus on a broad range of products that promote a reuse culture and an active lifestyle. Our commitment to innovation and development has given us a reputable name and internationally sought-after brands.
We are based in Borås and operate from our own 10,000 sqm facility. With four Nordic sales offices and a large international network of distributors and retailers, we reach over 30 markets and more than 7,000 points of sale.
Our team consists of 25 dedicated employees who combine experience with entrepreneurial thinking. Our home market is the Nordic region, where we set the standard for everything we do.
Today, our brand portfolio includes seven own brands, private label solutions, and external brands that complement our direction. All our brands share the same purpose – to care for and extend the life of what we already have and to inspire an active lifestyle.
A Brief History of Brunngård

1983
Madeleine and Per-Ola Brunngård establish the company in Sparsör, Sweden. The family is driven by a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for creating value.

1986
The first external company building is purchased and renovated to to meet business needs.

1990
A complete range of shoe care products is developed, quickly capturing market share in shoe-related accessories.

1994
The first proprietary brand, Springyard, is registered, translating Brunngård into English.

1998
The first board with external members is formed, setting clear directives for growth.

2002
Paul Brunngård acquires the company from his parents and sister. The next phase of development begins with a new brand manual and logo.

2009
The company experiences rapid growth through a well-developed business model, becoming the market leader in shoe-related accessories in the Nordic region.

2014
Inter IKEA acquires 50% of the company to support further development.

2020
Paul Brunngård, alongside three semi-operational entrepreneurs, repurchases the company to initiate the next growth phase.

2022
The brand EXPRO is launched, positioning the company to see the entire world as its market. With a clear business model and world-class products, the focus is on extending the life of core products.
